Along with the launch of the look and feel for the Tri-California Events website, we are pleased to announce the expansion of training clinics for the 2008 triathlon season.
In an effort to better serve our athletes Tri-California will be offering participants’ customized training instruction, insider tips from seasoned professional coaches and athletes specific to Wildflower courses and racing conditions. The program features comprehensive swim, bike and run workouts, heart rate and pacing charts, race day checklists, message board for communicating with coaches, and advice on choosing equipment. In addition, the program offers discounts on event sponsor gear, sponsor training packages, a pre-race onsite meeting, an exclusive after race area, and much, much more.
The first event this new program will be offered for will be the AVIA Wildflower Triathlons. Recognized throughout the world as the “Woodstock of Triathlon” for its challenging terrain, weather conditions, and unique racing experience, the 26th Annual Avia Wildflower Triathlons festival is coming back to Lake San Antonio, May 2-4, 2008. From open water pack swimming, steep mountainous bike riding to dry hot trail running, knowing how to prepare for Wildflower is essential, and gives the properly prepared athlete an advantage on race day.
The New Avia Wildflower Triathlon Training programs features a 12-week Olympic and sprint distance program beginning February 1, and a 16 week Long Course program beginning January 7.
With over 20 years of Wildflower and industry experience, Hypercat Racing has partnered with Tri-California Events to create a comprehensive, day by day Wildflower specific training program.
These programs will offer new athletes a straightforward way to train for their first triathlon while also offering veteran athletes a way to reach their fitness goals. The camps will round out the program by offering athletes an opportunity to train on the actual race course and get a feel for the rolling hills of Lake San Antonio and demanding trail run. From ‘Nasty Grade’ to ‘Long Valley,’ you will hear from the best at how to tackle this amazing world renowned course.
