Wattie Ink and Wildflower Partner for 2013 Race Season

Wattie Ink and Tri-California Events are excited to announce an official 3-year partnership with the Wildflower Triathlons. This event will be the official kick-off to the 2013 race season for Wattie Ink Team with a Rock the W-style weekend of racing, team photos and festivities. With Wattie Ink athlete Heather Jackson returning to defend her 2012 course record-breaking win, we are thrilled to be coming back to the shores of Lake San Antonio with The Wildflower Triathlons designated as an official Wattie Ink Team event.
Tri-California has worked with Sean Watkins over the years and we knew our paths would cross again to create a great partnership. Wattie Ink brings to Wildflower one of the most modern social media outlets, creating hype and exposure on Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and more, in order to draw attention to event. Wattie Ink brings an edgy fun style that fits well with the One & Only Wildflower, knowing for its amazing race experience. For over 30 years, Tri-California has put on the Wildflower Triathlon, which is one of the most grueling and hilly courses you’ll find in the United States. With over 7,500 racers and 30,000 spectators from all over the world, this race gets central California buzzing for one jam-packed weekend every year in May. At Tri-California, our goal is to motivate individuals of all ages and fitness levels towards a healthier lifestyle by providing training and racing opportunities in the sport of triathlon. We aim to engage the everyday athlete by encouraging individuals to “exercise with purpose” and take part in a triathlon event. Both on and off the race course, we strive to create a supportive and encouraging racing environment keeping the participant and spectator experience at the forefront.
