Tri-California Events, Inc. finds a new way of getting experienced sponsors by accepting letters of interest for their title sponsorship of the Wildflower Triathlons. The contract with the current partner has reached its five year maturity, opening up a desirable partnership within the sport of Triathlon. The event will provide an opportunity for other companies interested in the endurance sports and healthy lifestyle to be considered for this world class iconic event. Wildflower has only had three title sponsors in the 30 year history of the event giving the title sponsor a great chance to capture this unique triathlon brand.
The Wildflower Triathlon is one of the best known triathlons in the world. Many of the best triathletes have competed in the Long Course at Wildflower, only a few have been good enough to win. The race has launched some of the greatest careers in the sport of triathlon with elites like: Scott Molina, Paula Newby Fraser, Cameron Widoff, Chris McCormack, Samantha McGlone, Andy Potts, Julie Dibens and now Jesse Thomas. In 2012 the event celebrated the thirtieth year with almost 7,500 participants, 32,000 spectators and some of the highest media buzz in the industry. With over 100 exhibitors, entertainment throughout the weekend and the unique atmosphere family camping, it has been named ‘The Woodstock of Triathlon.’
“Needless to say, what sets Wildflower apart aren’t the hoards of professionals or butt-busting courses, but rather, the atmosphere,” say Mackenzie Lobby USAT Triathlon. “It is beginning to attract second and third-generation Wildflower athletes, signaling success for many years to come.”
“Tri-California is seeking a partner that has the insight and vision to take the benefits of the well known name and the sport of triathlon to capitalize on the opportunities associated with the lifestyle, the demographics of the participants and the quality of the event” states Colleen Bousman, President of Tri-California. “We desire to link businesses to people, integrate innovations while entertaining, mutually build value and use the digital world to connect communities of triathletes, clubs, collegiate athletes and endurance athletes nationally and internationally.”
Tri-California will evaluate the letters of interest in July and August.
