Clinic Overview:
No matter if you are a novice triathlete looking to compete in your first sprint distance race or an experienced triathlete looking to improve your skills in the Sprint or Olympic distance this San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island clinic if for you.
Our Tri-California coaching staff provides a dynamic training clinic geared towards educating participants with tactical tips, drills, lectures and a course run through in preparation for the event. This is a unique opportunity to learn from our expert USAT level coaches.
Our Tri-California coaching staff understands that not all participants have the same triathlon experience or fitness level. During each session we break into sub groups for swimming, cycling and running to ensure that you learn the training skills and tactics suitable for your needs. We provide a high staff to participant ratio to allow for the finest and most positive experience.
Clinic Dates: September 27, 2008 (Saturday) or September 28, 2008 (Sunday)
Max # of Participants: 30 per clinic
Cost: $150 per person
Meeting Place:
Turn on California and go to large parking lot between 2 building. We will meet down near the water.

Reid Swanson |
Reid Swanson is a Director of Clinics at Tri California. Reid is a Certified Level 1 USA Triathlon coach. Reid has been racing triathlons for 20 years and has been coaching for 5 years. He has competed in every distance of triathlon from sprint to Ironman to multi-day adventure races.
Reid has completed every Tri Cal event multiple times and can lend this experience and course knowledge to camp participants. Contact Reid at reid@tricalifornia.com

Eileen Swanson |
Eileen Swanson is a Director of Clinics Tri California. Eileen is a Certified Level 1 USA Triathlon coach. Eileen has been racing triathlons for 9 years and coaching for 5 years. She has completed all distances of triathlons and many open water swims. She has completed the swim from Alcatraz to San Francisco 60 + times. In 2007 Eileen won the Tri California Age Group Series.
Eileen's favorite race of the season is the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon. She looks forward to sharing her expertise on this course with everyone. Eileen is the resident professional triathlete on staff. Eileen coaches athletes individually all over the country as well.

Andrew McWhorter
|
Andrew McWhorter is a Certified Level 1 USA Triathlon Coach with nearly 15 years experience in triathlon training, coaching and racing.
Andrew excels as a swim coach with an extensive background in swimming through high school and college. He has 14 years experience in open water swim competition with numerous Alcatraz crossings. He has been a competitive cyclist since 1984, and is currently working on his USA Cycling certification.
He continues to further educate himself in all 3 elements of the sport, and has a personal, hands-on approach to coaching, striving to understand the needs of each individual athlete.
