2008 Tri-California Elite Series Information
Welcome to the 2008 Tri-California Elite Series. The Elite Series features four dynamic races located at unique venues throughout California. Elite Triathletes are invited to participate in the series, building points at each race in the quest for the series championships held at The San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island, November 8, 2008.

Series Points:
| Division Rank Points: |
Participants earn points ranging from 1000 down to 10. Top 10 positions decrease in increments of 50, and places 11+ decrease in increments of 10. (1000, 950, 900, 850, 800, 750, 700, 650, 600, 550, 500, 490, 480, 470, 460, 450, 440, 430, 420, 410, 400........down to 10). |
| Finisher Points: |
Participants earn 50 points for each race in which they complete the entire course with out DNF or DQ. |
| Series Bonus Points: |
Participants receive an additional 250 for starting all four races |
| Premium Points: |
Bonus points will be awarded for the fastest swim split (200), fastest bike split (200), and fastest run split (200) in each event. Split times are determined by crossing the timing mats and calculated by the timing program. |
| Double Points Events: |
*The Wildflower Long Course Triathlon, and The San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island will offer double points. All the other races will have single points. |
| The top ten males and females who have accumulated the most points at the conclusion of the series will be awarded the Tri-California Events Elite Series cash purse. You must race at The San Francisco Triathlon at Treasure Island in order to qualify for the Tri-Cal Elite Series Prize Purse monies. |
