Dear Triathlon Club Director,

The AVIA Wildflower Triathlons held at Lake San Antonio in Monterey County, California, will again feature the Tri-Club Team Competition. The purpose of this letter is to introduce you to this feature of the Wildflower Triathlon and encourage you and your club members to participate in the competition. I have enclosed a Fact Sheet that you can circulate to your club members to "get the word out". The Wildflower Triathlons will reach maximum capacity quickly so do not delay in sending in your forms.

The Tri-Club Team Competition will be a part of the Long Course Triathlon and the Olympic Distance Triathlon. There are no additional fees to participate. To enter, simply complete the online race application. All clubs interested in participating in the Tri-Club Team Competition must select a club representative. Club representatives should submit the Triathlon Club Registration Form to Tri-California Events (Fax 831-373-7731) before April 1, 2008.

Special Triathlon Club Rebate: Registered Clubs will receive a $10 rebate for each member of their club who selects their Club Name (in the Triathlon Club Competition box) when completing the online registration. (Minimum of 10 registered club members) Rebate amounts will be calculated and checks mailed to club representatives after July 1, 2008. Please keep in mind that you will need to submit your clubs contact information each year in order to continue receiving your rebate checks.  This is important as the overall number of clubs is too large for Tri California Events to track down.  Get your information in early to avoid missing out.

If you like the idea of a tri-club team competition category, talk to the race directors of your favorite triathlons about including a competition category for clubs in their race.
