Series Rules
1. Athletes must compete in a minimum of 3 series events. If an athlete competes but does not score points (finish in the top 10) in a series event, that race will count toward their 3 race minimum requirement.
2. If an athlete starts a series event but DNF’s (Does Not Finish), this race will count toward one (1) of the minimum series requirement events.
3. If a series event is canceled, for any reason, the series three (3) race minimum requirement will be reduced to a series requirement of two (2) series events to be eligible for overall standings and overall series prize money.
4. Only the top three (3) scoring races will be calculated to identify the overall series standings. Overall series Prize Money will be paid out to the top three men and women.
5. Elite Nationals will be worth double points. Treasure Island will be the Series Championship and worth single points.
6. In the case that a series event alters the Olympic Distance race course, for any reason, that event will be awarded ½ points (Example: 1st Place - 25 points will now be worth 12.5 points). If a series event is changed to a duathlon, for any reason, a best effort will be made for the series event duathlon distances to be 10K run, 40K bike and a 5K run. A series event changed to a duathlon will score ½ points.
