Secure your spot into the 2009 Escape from Alcatraz Race!
The Escape to Alcatraz Triathlon Series was developed in 2003 as an additional option for those aspiring for a coveted spot in the most unique and challenging triathlon in the world. Athletes may qualify at any one of the participating races chosen to represent different geographic regions.

*You must be present at the awards ceremony to claim your spot into the 2009 race.
Please be aware that while you may have claimed a spot into the race you will still need to register on-line and pay registration fees prior to December 31, 2008. Emails will be sent out to all of the winners in mid December with a special registration link.
Each winner will be responsible to keep the Race Director of your Qualifying Event updated with any changes to your name, address or email address. Email is the primary means of communication and your email address is a vital link to updates and information about the race.

In addition, 8 Random Drawing Spots will be given out at the Awards Ceremony of each race.
You must be present to win!
If you didn't earn a spot into the race though the Qualification process there are other ways to enter.
1) There are two random drawings held each year on December 15th and February 1st. Anyone that is entered into the drawing and is not selected in the December 15th drawing will automatically "roll over" to the February 1st drawing. 2) Division Champs (1st Place) from the 2008 Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon automatically qualify for the 2009 event. Detailed information will be sent to these winners via email in November.
3) There are 50 Open Relay Team Spots available. Relay Team members can register on-line beginning December 1, 2008.
4) The Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon will also have a Corporate Relay Division with up to 50 Teams made up of executives and employees. The Corporate Relay Division is a great way to showcase your company and build morale! Corporate Teams will compete for the "Keys to the Rock" perpetual trophy.
